Adapters with an SC retaining ring need a longer male thread so the ring can lock the adpter. If the male thread is too short, the adapter rotates unengaged.

This spacer solves the problem and allows secure attaching of connection adapters with SC retaining ring. It is often bought together with the TS2-SC 2" adapter.
