Lacerta T2 Adapter for 50 mm finders for conversion into a guide scope
Codice articolo: ParFoc50
The short adapter replaces the entire back plate of the finder from Skywatcher, GSO, Celestron, Orion and adapts to T2
♦ Fits to 50 mm finder scopes from GSO, Skywatcher, Celestron, Orion (straight view and angled view)
♦ With angled finders (90° insight), you have a long working distance of approximately 57 mm from the T2-thread.
♦ With straight view finders, the working distance is only a few millimetres
♦ Clear aperture of 36 mm, thus using optional adapters from T2 to 1.25" for working with 1.25" eyepieces or autoguiders with 1.25" housing becomes possible.
♦ Connection at telescope side: 50 mm thread (male)
T2 Adapter for 50 mm finders with 36 mm clear aperture
The adapter offers a short T2 adaption with large aperture for finder scopes with 50 mm aperture. Here, the entire back plate of the finder is replaced. The short adapter has a well-defined stop edge and fits to all 50 mm finders.
Application area of the ParFoc50:
♦ With this adapter, you can convert your 50 mm finder into a compact mini guide scope.
The ParFoc50 fits to almost all 50 mm finder scopes (GSO, Skywatcher, Vixen, Celestron, Orion, and structurally identical:
♦ The adapter also fits to 50 mm finder scopes with 90° angled view. In this case, you have approx. 57 mm working distance from the T2-thread, so you can use autoguiders with longer necessary back-focus or special reticle eyepieces. By using a T2 focuser, you can even focus at the eyepiece side.
♦ With straight view finders, the working distance is only a few millimetres. Here, the adaptor makes sense mainly for attaching autoguiders with 1.25" housing (SBIG, Starlight Lodestar, TSGM120M, ...). You need an additional adapter from T2 to 1.25", now you can easily adjust the sharpness by moving the autoguider.
The adapter indeed fits to almost all 50 mm finders, but:
The thread pitch of finders is not standardised. Thus it can happen that the ParFoc50 cannot be screwed into your finder until the stop. This does not not reduce the usability of the adapter. Simply screw the ParFoc50 as far into the thread until it is well seated. Now you can safely use the finder as guiding scope.
