Codice articolo: N-AGK3
The TS N-AGK3 eliminates the coma, which emerges at Newtonians, for astrophotography - this 3" version is also suitable for cameras with large sensors.
♦ Suitable for Newtonian telescopes up to f/3
♦ The best illumination in its class - f/4 Newtonians have 100% illumination over 54 mm field!
♦ M68x1 ZEISS level connecting thread at camera side - optimal working distance: 69.3 mm with the optional adapter VIP3010-M68 (look to "customize your product")
♦ Additional Thread M73,5 x 0,75 female - working distance 73,4 mm from this thread
♦ does not induce spherical or chromatic aberration
♦ Suitable for 3" focusers
♦ Focal length extension 1.14x
♦ Focus shift 73 mm outwards - the corrector needs a focal position of only 130 mm above the tube.
TS N-AGK3 3" Newtonian Coma Corrector with best possible illumination
Teleskop-Service designs and manufactures the successful ONC and UNC Newtonian telescopes for years. Increasingly often, we are asked about an optimal coma corrector for these telescopes. With the N-AGK3, we are pleased to offer you one of the most versatile coma correctors on the market, with convincing characteristics and at an affordable price.
Properties of the N-AGK3 Coma Corrector:
♦ 100% illuminated and corrected field: 54 mm diameter at f/4
♦ Working distance: 69.3 mm from the M68 thread (telescop side) - with the optional adapter VIP3010-M68
♦ Length 5.125" / 130 mm
♦ Focal length extension : Factor 1.14x
Telescope side adaption:
The N-AGK3 corrector has a 3" barrel, so the focuser has to accept 3" accessories. This requirement is fulfilled by focusers like the big JMI Event Horizon 3" focusers or the UNCN3 focusers (see accessory recommendations).
Camera side adaption:
Thanks to the optional M68x1 thread connection, you can attach the entire programme of M68 accessories, like our M68 off axis guider. The adapter (VIP3010-M68) itself has only 1 mm length, so you have 69.3 mm working distance from the M68x1 thread. That offers enough space for generous adaptations. If filters are used, you should add 1 mm to the working distance.
The TS N-AGK3 corrector compared to a 3" Wynne corrector - a comparison of the illumination:
♦ Wynne corrector: length 137 mm + working distance of only 57 mm - thus the focal plane is approximately 194 mm off the field lens. The reduction factor of the corrector is 0.95. Limited through the field lens of the corrector, the fully illuminated field is approx. 29 mm at f/4. Furthermore, the Newtonian needs an extreme superstructure of 190 mm from the tube to the focus. Also, the secondary has to be dimensioned extremely large - approximately 40% of the aperture!
♦ This TS N-AGK3 corrector: length 130 mm + working distance 73 mm. Through the extension factor of 15%, this distance is fully compensated. The real focus is located only 130 mm above the tube.At f4, the fully illuminated field, limited by the field lens of the corrector, is approximately 50 mm. Thereby, the secondary can be dimensioned significantly smaller - approx. 30% of the aperture.
So, with regard to illumination, the advantages of the N-AGK3 against the Wynne corrector are clear. For achieving a similar effective focal ratio, a faster Newtonian can be used with the N-AGK3 coma corrector.
