TS-Optics Photon 8" f/3.94 Advanced Newtonian 200/800 Telescope with Carbon Tube - Gen. 2
TS-Optics Photon 8" f/3.94 Advanced Newtonian 200/800 Telescope with Carbon Tube - Gen. 2
Codice articolo: TPC8F4G
The carbon photo Newtonian with 203 mm aperture is optimized for astrophotography and can be combined with common 2" coma correctors.
Aperture 203 mm (8") - focal length 800 mm - focal ratio f/3.94
High-quality parabolic primary mirror with 94% forced mirror coating for a brighter image
Large-dimensioned secondary mirror with 70 mm minor axis and 94% forced mirror coating
Improved dual-speed 2" monorail focuser with metal base plate
Carbon tube for more focus stability in astrophotography and more rigidity
Massive secondary mirror spider vanes made of metal
Central marking on the primary mirror for easy collimation
CNC tube rings and two dovetail bars (1x Losmandy, 1x GP/EQ5 style)
TS-Photon 203 mm - f/3.94 - Advanced Newtonian with Carbon Tube
The powerful Newtonian with the carbon tube is optimized for astrophotography and offers very good speed for short exposure times thanks to the focal ratio of f/3.94. The generous back focus allows the connection of suitable coma correctors for very good field correction. We particularly recommend the TS GPU "Superflat" corrector. This turns the 8" Photon into a very good astrograph. Of course, the Photon is also suitable for observing.
The advantages of the 8" TS Photon Newtonian:
Fast, high-quality parabolic primary mirror for very good contrast and sharpness
Improved 2" MONORAIL focuser with metal base and 1:10 speed reduction (Gen. 2)
Massive secondary mirror spider struts, twisting is no longer possible, which facilitates collimation (Gen. 2)
90 mm working distance from the 2" receptacle of the focuser, so that all common correctors can be used
Brighter image due to forced mirroring on primary and secondary mirror
Primary mirror cell and secondary mirror cell are adjustable and of course made of metal
Astrophotography with the TS-Photon 8" f/3.94 Newtonian:
Only a good coma corrector turns the Newtonian into a real astrograph. Our recommendation is the TSGPU "Superflat" corrector, which seems to have been made for this telescope. It will offer you very high sharpness in the entire field. The illumination is very good up to APS-C format. Correction is even given up to full-frame format. Of course, we always recommend a FLAT for even brightness distribution. Suitable flat field generators are of course available from us. The working distance from the M48 thread of the GPU is 55 mm, making it suitable for all common cameras.
