TS 3" Refractor & Cassegrain Crayford Focuser - LINEAR POWER - low profile

... a strong focuser for refractors and cassegrain reflectors with better illumination

The 3" LINEAR POWER focuser is perfect for do-it-yourself or upgrading of fast refractors, Cassegrainians oder RC telescopes, where a 2" focuser would cause vignetting. Of course, the focuser has different threads for attaching correctors.

The 3" LINEAR POWER is an improvement of the Crayford principle.

The load does not rest on four, often underdimensioned ball bearings, but on a massively supported, laterally guided stainless steel track at the base. That prevents tilting of the focuser even at high load. Countering is done via a big thumbscrew which presses the inner tube exactly on the rail. Therefore, the load is distributed evenly over the track.

1:10 micro reduction for more accurate focusing: of course the 3" Linear power also features the reduction.
