How to make a good solar filter with little effort

♦ Cut a round piece of 74mm diameter from the foil. Make sure there are no holes in the piece.
♦ Cut a ring with 74mm outer diameter and 66mm inner diameter from a thick cardboard (min. 2mm thick).
♦ Place the foil piece into the socket. You can fix the foil with a few drops of glue. It is not necessary that the foil is under tension.
♦ Put the cardboard ring on the foil and fix the ring to the socket with some tape or a few drops of glue. The cardboard ring protects the foil when mounting the filter.
