Orion Variable polarizing filter FXP - for 2" eyepieces
Adjust the transmission continuously from 1% to 40%
The brightness differences in the details of many solar system objects vary in a wide range. This can be seen particularly at:
- Lunar craters near the terminator
- Solar spots and faculae
- Planetary details
Glare caused by bright regions prevents the reception of fine detail. With a variable polarizing filter, you can individually adjust for the dampening factor. The brightness reduction is color neutral.
Transmission:
Transmission range can be adjusted continuously from 1% to 40%.
Operation:
The variable polarizing filter consists of two single filters who can be twisted against each other. This causes the variable light transmission.
