The weight is made of stainless steel. On one side, it has a 1/4" male thread for dovetail rails and on the other side, a 1/4" female thread. So two or more weights can be combined for an efficient balancing system.

Fields of use:

♦ Stabilization in Photography
♦ Counter weight for small mounts
♦ Balance weight for tubes with heavier rear camera load

Balance weight, for lever arm compensation with optional dovetail rail/clamp.

Especially with fork mounted telescopes, a precise tube balancing is essential. This can easily be done with such balance weights.
