High-quality finder scope with illuminated double crosshairs for all telescopes - with quick release finder bracket
TS Optics 9x50 Finder Scope - straight - with illumination
The 9x50 finder impreses with a very sharp and contrasty image. This finder facilitates location of celestial objects considerably.
♦ The finder offers a large true field of view for easy orientation
♦ It collects much more light than the unaided eye, hundreds of nebulae, clusters and galaxies are visible in the finder
♦ Illuminated dual crosshairs help under dark skies: the reticle gets visible and the dark adaption is kept
♦ The double crosshairs don´t hide the centred object
For which telescopes is the TS Optics 9x50 Finder suitable
The finder is suitable for every telescope. The bracket gan be put in the finder base of most telescopes like:
♦ Skywatcher
♦ Celestron
♦ Orion USA
♦ Orion UK
♦ Vixen
... and many more. For self-construction, we offer the matching finder base.
Focusing the finder
Focusing is very easy.
♦ Center an object wihich is farther away than 1 km, or, even better, a bright star or the moon.
♦ Loosen the retaining ring behind the the objective and rotate it back.
♦ Now you can turn the objective cell. Once you have attained a properly sharp image, you can fix the position of the cell with the retaining ring and thus lock the focus - done!
Now you have a nicely focused finder with a clear and contrasty image - perfectly adapted to your eye.
How to adjust the finder parallel to the telescope
That is also very simple.
♦ Preparation: put the finder into the bracket. Before, put the O-ring over the finder. The ring fixes the finder in the bracket. The finder tube has a small notch in which the O-ring has to be inserted.
♦ Attach the finder to the telescope and search for an object which far away. Center this object (tree, steeple, bright star) in the telescope.
♦ Turn the two black thumb screws until the object is also centered in the finder - ready! The spring reliably secures the finder position for the whole night.
