TS 96 mm f/6 ED APO Refractor for Astrophotography and Observation
The compact ED can still be carried well by smaller mounts like the EQ3. With only 46 cm transport length thanks to the retractable dew shield, the ED also still has space in air travel luggage. The very well corrected ED optics allows exciting lunar and planetary observations, wonderful deep-sky observations and of course astrophotography, with the appropriate corrector.
Das 96 mm f/6 ED objective:
The 2-element lens is manufactured in Japan. Although the lens is "only" an ED optic, it convinces with a really good chromatic correction. Thus, the ED lens can show its strengths even in the high magnification range up to about 200x, the contrast is maintained.
The 2.5" focuser of the ED refractor:
The telescope´s focuser is also convincing. Large ball bearings hold even heavy cameras and optical accessories very well. Due to dual-speed, you can focus very well and easily find the optimal focus for photography, but also for observation. In addition to the 2" and 1.25" connection, the focuser also offers a M63x1 female thread for screw adaptations, for example to connect the photo corrector.
The TS 96 mm f/6 ED for astrophotography:
With the optional corrector TSRED94, which was designed for this telescope, astrophotography on a high level is possible. The use up to full frame sensors is no problem. Thanks to the good correction of the objective and the corrector, the color fringes around stars are only minimally pronounced and will not interfere.
