The dew shield is made for the TS-Optics Hypergraph 8" and provides protection from dew and from stray light

TS flexible Dew Shield for Hypergraph 8"
The TS 200 mm Newtonian astrograph is optimized for mobile use. The tube is therefore very short. However, due to the sky brightening, but also due to dew, a dew shield is useful. A normal dew shield would not hold on the telescope, because there is not enough space on the front side of the telescope.

The solution is the TSTAU-H8, which we developed especially for the Hypergraph. The flexible dew shield has space for the finder and the focuser. This means that the dew shield does not only have to be attached to the very front end of the tube, the hold is much better.

To further increase stability, plastic braces are incorporated. This allows the dew shield to retain its round shape when mounted and does not shade. The bracing also allows you to use flat field generators when the dew shield is mounted. This way you get optimal results.
