Attaching CCD cameras, filter wheels or filter changers to M42 connectors:
CCD cameras with larger sensors (like ATIK 16200) or filter wheels from ATIK or Trutek have an M54 thread. This adapter provides a connection to the M42x1 thread. If you, for example, want to connect an old, fine camera lens from Zeiss (Jena) or a Russian lens to a modern astro camera, then this adapter will hold the lens.
