  If your auto guider has a back focus of < 20mm, it can be attached directly to the 8x50 finder that can act as a guiding scope then. Modern systems like the Starlight Xpress Lodestar or Watec 120N+ allow precise guiding for focal length of up to approx. 1000 mm.

  Easy but solid screwed adaptation:

  Just screw off the eyepiece of your finder and screw in the adapter. Now, your autoguider attaches directly and is ready for use. Your 8x50 finder just became a compact guiding scope!

  The adapter fits to all auto guiders with Cmount connection. Focusing is done by Objective thread & counter screw.
